Eating Out at ZOE

The front entrance to the 3 restaurant booths.

While ZOE is in the mountains of Thailand, we are actually fairly close to a small village near some mom and pop restaurants. It only takes about 10 minutes by car from ZOE and you can have a quick sit down meal. It isn’t very fancy, but the food is GREAT! Staff and missionaries will go out from time to time and this is a great place for fast, inexpensive, tasty food.

The hot springs.

One of our favorite places is called the “HOT SPRINGS” restaurant. It is comprised of three separate restaurant booths that share the same facilities. I don’t know the actual name of it (we nickname every restaurant so that everyone knows what we mean), but it is next to a natural hot spring.

The average cost of a dish is anywhere between $1.00 and $1.50, so it is VERY REASONABLE. Compared to the resorts around the area where the typical dish costs $5.00 or more, this is VERY, VERY GOOD!

In addition to this, we LOVE these restaurants because a portion of the profit goes towards the entire community. This helps make the area beautiful, improve roads, and keep everyone happy. It is a great way to get to know the people in the community and let them know that we support what they are doing.
