Get Missions Minded this VBS!

If you are a Children’s Ministry leader, chances are you are getting ready for this year’s Vacation Bible School.  Vacation Bible School is a great time to outreach to your community as well as impact those that attend church regularly for an entire week!  Whether you are still deciding upon the best curriculum to go with or have already decided, I invite you to incorporate ZOE’s Kids Helping Kids program for this year’s VBS missions focus. Kids Helping Kids is a free tool and a great program to teach children about helping those in need and that no matter what age, one child can make a difference.  Children always want to help so why not give them a chance by getting them involved to care for others?

The program is simple. Children collect change which will go towards caring for the children that are in ZOE’s care at the Children’s Home in Thailand.  Because one dollar goes a long way in Thailand, so much can be done!

So want to get involved?  Here’s how…email us and let us know how many children you are expecting at this year’s VBS and we will send you the Kids Helping Kids plastic tubes that the children can collect their change in.  Each tube when filled with quarters equals $15.  We have had churches all over the U.S. utilize this program from preschoolers to upper elementary students. But because VBS is only for a week, some have opted to just collect change to pour into buckets rather than tubes.  This method allows for the project results to be based on a group effort rather than one individual’s accomplishments.  What a great way to teach children about teamwork in a fun way!  Churches in the past have even held friendly competition between boys and girls and even different age groups, weighing the buckets on the last day of VBS. This always gets the kids excited!  The creative ideas are endless but one thing is for sure…your kids will have a great time and learn so much for this experience!  Email Kids Helping Kids to get started.
