ZOE Provides Christmas to DCFS Girls and Social Workers
Last month, you gave generously to teens right here in our own backyard. These are girls many have given up hope on. They carry scars of abandonment, abuse, child trafficking, and more. Yet, because of you, they were given not only a unique experience, but also a few little girl treasures that reminded them they are loved and cared for.
The social workers caring for these girls were able to take them out to a nice restaurant and give them an experience that seems normal to many, but a first to these girls. They were also given cuddly, teddy bears to warm their hearts and fuzzy socks to warm their feet. As the social workers were caring for the girls, you were caring for the social workers by providing them with gift cards to take the teens out and connect with them. So often, social workers have to use their own resources to do so. We let them know they are not alone by giving them cards to Starbucks, McDonald’s, Subway, Forever 21, and Visa.
You have empowered those on the front line by giving them resources and conditions for success to help these precious ones. Read what they had to say:
“ZOE has been amazing and your gifts have allowed us to give the children incentives, inspiration, motivation, and most of all a chance to heal. The Runaway Outreach Unit will continue thriving to be a positive and nurturing support system to these youth and are grateful for ZOE’s support. Together we can make a positive impact on these children’s healing process. Thank you ZOE.”

Because of you some precious young ladies had a Christmas filled with memories that will last a lifetime. Because of you, front line heroes and social workers from DCFS (Department of Children Family Services) had a Christmas filled with memories that will last a lifetime.
