About the Home
The focus of our program is to help a child feel safe physically and emotionally so she can begin her journey of healing from unimaginable trauma and pain. At ZHY, children can discover their interests, talents, dreams, and destiny as they begin to hope again for a bright future.
Children are referred to ZHY through Los Angeles County Departments of Children and Family Services (DCFS) or Probation. ZHY’s team works closely with the youth’s Child and Family Team (CFT) to ensure needs are being met.
Our Program Provides
- Trauma informed, relational engagement with experienced staff.
- Onsite therapy, mental health support, and crisis intervention.
- Case management.
- Therapeutic recreational services: multi-sports area, grass field, swimming pool, gardening, dance and music studio, arts and crafts, cooking and baking, equine and animal therapy.
- Educational support with local public schools.
- Life skills development.
- Vocational training.
- State-of-the-art security system to keep children safe from traffickers.
