David & Andrea Cross
Prior to ZOE, having graduated with a Commerce degree with majors in Management and Marketing at Deakin University, David owned and managed a business in Melbourne, Australia for 16 years!
Andrea has been passionate about working with children for more than 20 years, whether being full time, part time or volunteer positions! After completing a certificate in Sports and Recreation at Swinburne University, Andrea completed a double degree in Arts (Indonesian) and Education (Teaching) at Deakin University. Andrea worked as a teacher at Mentone Girl’s Grammar School and Flinders Community Christian College, where she was involved in both classroom teaching and curriculum development.
Andrea and Dave were volunteer foster care parents for children in need of respite, emergency care and short-term placements. The Cross family moved to Thailand in 2010 to become field workers with ZOE! Where Andrea is part of the ZOE Global Curriculum Development Team. Also assisting in communication with Australian supporters and serving as a field worker in Thailand. And being a wife and mother to their three kids.
David is Co-Founder of ZOE Foundation Australia, Manager of Child Protection and part of the Strategic Planning Team at ZOE Children’s Homes in Thailand. Managing Child Protection, David trains staff, volunteers, visitors and the children, on an ongoing basis, about relevant safety and protection issues. David also oversees the implementation of projects and programs funded by ZOE Foundation Australia to assist in the task of combating human trafficking.
