SUPPORT OUR ZOE TEAM RIDERS

Brad Ortenzi
Age: 58
Hometown: Shoemakersville, PA
Occupation: ZOE International Eastern USA Regional Director, Coordinator of the Lancaster and Berks Human Trafficking Task Forces
RAAM History: Cyclist on ZOE’s 8-man RAAM team in 2019 and 2021. Race Manager for ZOE’s teams in 2023 and 2025.
Reason to Ride: I ride in the 2026 Race Across America because I’ve seen what real freedom and healing can look like for children when exploitation ends. As a former undercover online child-exploitation investigator with the Ephrata Police Department—and now serving as the Race Manager and Eastern USA Regional Director for ZOE International—my wife Lori and I were first introduced to ZOE’s work during a visit to Thailand in 2014. We expected to see deeply broken children, but instead we encountered joy, resilience, and lives actively healing. It stopped me in my tracks and raised a question I couldn’t shake: Why is this working? The answer changed my life. Every child we met was a fighter, courageously reclaiming their future, and their fight became mine. Riding Race Across America allows me to carry that fight across the United States—inviting others to join me in standing for freedom and hope for every child.

Randy Martin
Age: 64
Hometown: East Earl, PA
Occupation: Owner of Lancaster Bicycle Shop
RAAM History: I became involved with ZOE International in 2019 when I was asked to be a mechanic for the first ZOE 8-man RAAM team. The race experience in 2019 was life changing for me. I have participated as a mechanic for the following three ZOE RAAM teams.
Reason to Ride: RAAM 2026 brings a new chapter to my story with the ZOE cycling team-this year participating as one of the cyclists, instead of a team mechanic. This race will be the biggest athletic challenge of my life. I know it will be exhausting and painful at times. However, it has a purpose greater than a personal athletic challenge, and in no way compares to the fear, pain, and hopelessness those trapped in human trafficking endure. Our experience has an end, a goal, a reason for hope, which for us will be the boardwalk in Atlantic City. But more importantly that the awareness and funds raised will bring hope and the reality of a God that loves them to many. My hopes and prayers are for a safe race for team ZOE and all the race teams. That we reflect Christ’s love in all we say and do and that we have the same impact on child trafficking in 2026 that we have had in the previous 4 races.
