ZOE Australia Update: 2024 Global Vision Meeting

The below ZOE USA update was presented at the 2024 ZOE Global Vision Meeting:

Initially, ZOE’s work in Australia was centered around raising money to combat child trafficking overseas as people are passionate about standing up for the marginalized.

“Much of our work has been focused on prevention, talking at schools, churches, and events,” shared David and Andrea Cross, ZOE Australia Directors. “We’ve developed curriculum that is used by teachers in every state across Australia. The feedback is that they are super thankful that it’s free, and they want to have it in their classrooms. Human trafficking is a hard topic to engage in, but once people start to realize that it’s an issue in every country – they then have the realization that they can do something about it.”

The Australia team continues to share the gospel and conduct in-person prevention classes for teachers and churches. The online course continues to grow, and more people sign up to participate in this self-paced, interactive content.

“We have made more progress and developed new characters for our prevention video game for preschool children,” continued Andrea. “This game teaches children to identify safe people and places while learning to develop protective behaviors and healthy boundaries.”
